NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon dropped into The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to perform a deep cut from his seminal album Graceland.
The performance saw Simon team up with Colbert’s house band, Jon Batiste and Stay Human for the performance of ‘That Was Your Mother’ with even Stephen Colbert himself jumping in on the washboard.
As well, the zydeco-style song drew Baptiste, who is a Louisiana native, out from behind his piano to take up the accordion for the performance.
Simon wrapped his official ‘Homeward Bound’ farewell tour last September but is still lined up for some live performances this summer, including closing out the Outside Lands festival in August.
