INDIO, Calif. (CelebrityAccess) There was a time when a visit to Coachella in the middle of the mercilessly hot desert of Indio, Calif., meant squeezing a tent into the camping area and dealing with unconscionable port-a-potties. Those days have been, apparently, modified and covered with glitter – or, to be exact, Rolls Royce limos.
Goldenvoice has announced that, for the 20th anniversary of the alt-music festival, there will be a 37-acre “sanctuary” – a 40,000-square-foot “Bali-inspired” residence known as the Zenyara Estate that includes a helicopter pad, golf course, horse farm, lake, pool, spa, tennis and pickleball courts, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Just the place where Leonardo DiCaprio can go after landing his private jet, or where the “influencers” that missed out on the Fyre Festival can do their influencing.
Last Coachella, the estate played host to Gigi and Bella Hadid, who hung out at the $350,000-a-week estate and made sure to influence people with bikini poses on Instagram.
Not exactly the days when Goldenvoice co-owners Paul Tollett and Rick Van Santen put up what was left of their funds for one last big show, which immediately stumbled out of the gate, at least financially. Tollett has thanked the bands and agents for cutting deals that kept the festival above water.
This is considered the debut programming for Coachella outside of the Empire Polo Club, with the help of lifestyle marketing group Corso Agency, according to THR. Brand partners include Rolls Royce, Adidas, Wynn Nightlife, Soho House, Heineken, Urban Decay, and Republic Records. Rolls Royce will offer the limo service, the trade mag said.
Entertainment includes DJ sets by Idris Elba, Tale of Us, Fisher, Bob Moses, Jacquees and AME. There will be Guy Gerber’s Rumors after-party and an afternoon party hosted by Republic Records, according to Billboard.
“For the next two weekends, Zenyara Estate will bring together some of the most exciting performers, athletes, and celebrities in a venue like no other,” David Corso, CEO of Corso Agency, told The Hollywood Reporter. “We have partnered with Goldenvoice to deliver an unmatched experience, hosting brand events from the world’s best, including the debut of the Adidas Sports Club, and an incredible late-night program from our nightlife partners Framework and Wynn Nightlife.”
The site will introduce an Adidas Sports Estate, hosting a Saturday afternoon “You Had To Be There” pool party, a barbecue with restaurateur Eddie Huang and NFL player Von Miller, and a “three-point shoot-out” with NBA player Trae Young, among others.
