(CelebrityAccess) Reebok has denied claims that a collaboration with Beyoncé fell through because the company lacked diversity.
Initial reports said Bey walked out on the deal, allegedly saying, “Nobody in this room reflects my background, not my skin color, and where I’m from and what I want to do,” according to ESPN reporter Nick DePaula.
The deal would have reportedly followed an arrangement with parent company Adidas that includes a relaunch of her athleisure brand Ivy Park plus signature footwear and apparel.
However, a representative for Reebok told Metro.co.uk: “The report that Beyoncé walked out of a meeting with Reebok due to lack of diversity is categorically false.
“Our discussions with Beyoncé and her team continued for several months after our initial meeting. We are disappointed that false information is being reported as fact.”
