LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Endeavor has returned a $400 million investment provided to the company by the Saudi Public Investment Fund following the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Deadline Hollywood has learned.
The return completes a process that began last year by co-CEO Ari Emanuel following the disappearance of Khashoggi from the Saudi consulate in Turkey. Emanuel said at Mipcom in October that he was “personally really concert” and that Endeavor was “monitoring the situation.”
The investment fund is run by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who may have contributed to Khashoggi’s death, according to the CIA. It has invested in other businesses like Uber and Penske Media Group, according to Deadline.
Prior to the assassination plot, Bin Salman visited Hollywood where he spent time with people like Rubert Murdoch, Bob Iger, Jeff Bezos, Oprah Winfrey and Kobe Bryant.
