LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – UK-based production music company and sync specialist, Motus Music, has inked a deal with Cooking Vinyl that sees the London-based indie welcoming it under the umbrella of Cooking Vinyl Group.
Motus, which was founded by Ray Pagden in 2017, has already built a catalog of over 90,000 tracks and represents more than 40 production music labels from around the world.
Commenting on the partnership, Ray Pagden, CEO of Motus Music said: “When I set up Motus Music it was a long-term goal to find a business partner to help grow the company. We’ve had a lot of interest and I’ve turned down a few offers along the way. The most important thing for me was to find the right person to partner with. On first meeting Martin we had an in-depth discussion about the synergies between our businesses and discussed a number of ideas and possibilities. I left that meeting with much more ambitious plans and knew that Martin was the business partner I had been holding out for.”
“To now officially be a part of The Cooking Vinyl Group, a little over a year after launching the company, is a dream come true. Martin and myself have very different backgrounds in the music industry and I think our combined experience will lead to great things for Motus. I can’t wait to move forward with our plans and continuing to develop and grow within the group.”
“Ray has paid his dues and really knows his shit!,” adds Martin Goldschmidt, Chairman of Cooking Vinyl Group. “The synergies of combining two great sync teams and catalogues will greatly benefit Cooking Vinyl Publishing and Motus. We are very pleased Cooking Vinyl passed the audition and are excited to be in bed together and looking forward to a bright future.”
