NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Back in the fall of 2018, Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) filed a lawsuit against his former label Glassnote Records alleging the indie label owed him $10,000 in streaming royalties. Now, Glover and Glassnote have settled the dispute, according to Variety.

In the lawsuit, Glover, who released three albums as Childish Gambino on the label between 2011 to 2017, including the Grammy-winning “Awaken, My Love!,” accused his former label of breaches of contract, good faith, fair dealing, and fiduciary duty, as well as negligence.

For its part in the matter, Glassnote alleged that Glover was trying to claim 100% of streaming royalties from SoundExchange (a US organization that handles non-interactive digital performance royalties) when it contended it was legally and contractually owed 50% with the remaining half going to the featured artists and producers.

In a stipulation of voluntary dismissal filed on Friday (March 1) in the New York Southern District Court, both parties agreed to drop the dispute.

In January 2018, Glover signed a deal with RCA Records.
