NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Label and management veteran Anna Bond has been appointed as Director of Business Development for North America by for digital rights management company Songtrust.
“Anna’s passion for the independent community is evidenced by her career path and the career development of artists of incredible stature,” said Molly Neuman, Songtrust’s Global Head of Business Development. “As Songtrust continues to grow to offer global publishing administration to the creative community, we hope to continue to partner with independent businesses and artists representatives. Anna is the perfect person to build this for us in North America.”
Bond comes to her new role at Songtrust with almost two decades in the industry, including roles in artist and label management at FatCat Records and Rough Trade US, where she worked with artists such as Warpaint, Parquet Courts, and the Twilight Sad.
She also did stints at the indie distributor Secretly Canadian, and the digital music service eMusic.
Bond’s appointment comes after a year of expansion for Songtrust. In 2018, Songtrust reports that they doubled their client base while adding three new offices to accommodate their staff expansion of more than 50 people.
