LOUDON, NH (CelebrityAccess) — A ruling by the New Hampshire Supreme Court has cleared a major hurdle to promoter Live Nation staging a three-day country music festival at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The decision comes after more than a year of legal challenges brought by local residents who are concerned about noise at the venue that such a festival might create.
The residents had pointed to a 1989 settlement agreement signed between the former owners of the Speedway and some residents of the town to allow the Speedway to expand in exchange for regulation of certain types of events at the facility.
However, the property has changed hands since then, and last year, the Merrimack County Superior Court ruled that the 1989 covenant did not apply to the Speedway’s current owners. The resident group appealed the matter to the Supreme Court, but the lower court’s ruling was upheld.
The festival was announced last May as a three-day country music camper scheduled for Summer 2019 that will be produced in partnership with Live Nation.

As for the specific dates for the event, McGrath tells music fans to “stay tuned.”
