NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — The Operators of Pier 17, the rooftop performance space in lower Manhattan, announced a partnership with Live Nation to bring a slate of summer concerts back to the venue for a second year.
Kicking off in May 2019’s concert series features performances by artists including Grammy-nominated pop rock band, OneRepublic; comedy trio, The Lonely Island; soul musicians, Trombone Shorty & Ben Harper; legacy rock group, Steve Miller Band.
“Following the success of our 2018 inaugural season, we look forward to welcoming New Yorkers back to the Seaport District for an unforgettable concert experience,” said Saul Scherl, President of the New York Tri-State Region for venue operator The Howard Hughes Corporation. “This season will once again feature first-class entertainment and unparalleled panoramic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty.”
The 1.5-acre rooftop venue, part of the Seaport mixed-used development in lower Manhattan, is open year-round, providing a performance space during the concert season and transforming into a “Winterland experience” during the cold months, including an open-air ice skating rink.
