LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Amy Schumer, expecting her first child, has said she is canceling the remainder of her tour because she is in the third trimester of her first pregnancy and cannot fly because of complications from hyperemesis gravidarum.
The condition can cause severe vomiting.
“The baby and I are healthy and everything looks good,” Schumer announced, but “I vomit mostly every time I ride in a car even for 5 minutes.”
She added that she loves “stand up and money” but has to think about “my health and the baby.”
Schumer had four dates left on her schedule: Comerica Theatre, Phoenix, Feb. 28; Revention Music Center, Houston, March 1; Winspear Opera House, Dallas, March 2; and The Long Center for the Performing Arts, Austin, March 3.
The comedian married Chris Fischer in February and announced in late October that they were expecting their first child. Schumer took the stage in Tarrytown, N.Y., in November despite a sever bout of vomiting, and performed with a garbage can beside her, but canceled a few dates afterward.
