LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — After a sold-out Asian tour K-pop girl group BLACKPINK is gearing up for their first North American run, with dates set across the US later this spring.
The tour is built around BLACKPINK’s debut at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival where they will be featured on both weekends and includes dates on both the East and West Coasts.
After they wrap their North American dates, they head to Europe and the UK for a brief run.
The group also made their North American debut ahead of the Grammys on Saturday, as part of Universal Music Group’s Grammy Artist Showcase, which took place in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
As well, BLACKPINK also made their North American television debut with a performance of their hit ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Monday night.
BLACKPINK, who are represented by Korean entertainment company YG Entertainment, debuted in 2016 with their maxi-single Square One, with the first two lead singles topping charts in South Korea as well as the Billboard World Digital Songs chart.
Their 2018 debut studio album Blackpink in Your Area, was focused on the Japanese market, where it peaked at #7 on local charts.
