Glass Hangs On At The Top Of The Weekend Box Office

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — For the second week running, Disney’s Glass took top honors in both North American cinemas and worldwide over the weekend, earning $12.2M and $42.6M respectively, according to estimates compiled by comScore.

Glass fended off another superheroic contender with the debut of Once Upon a Deadpool, the PG-13 version of 20th Century Fox’s smash hit Deadpool 2 which opened four international markets, including China to an estimated $21.4M.

The top three in domestic box office were rounded out by STX Entertainment’s dramedy The Upside, which added $12.2M from North American cinemas over the weekend and Warner’s Aquaman, which added an additional $7.3M to its already hefty cumulative take.
