Music Canada Exec VP Amy Terrill To Leave Organization

CANADA (CelebrityAccess) Music Canada Executive VP Amy Terrill is leaving the organization Jan. 29 to return to her position at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes as its new executive director.

Terrill joined the music trade organization in 2010 and is credited with developing its communications, research and policy portfolio and contributed to positively increasing government relations. She also spearheaded the Mastering of a Music City and two subsequent reports, earning her a reputation as one of the leading thinkers in the field. Terrill has also provided advice and support to Canadian cities to help them develop a music strategy.

She has also been active on numerous boards of directors and committees including Music Canada Live, Polaris Music Prize, Unison Benevolent Fund, Music Policy Forum, Toronto Music Advisory Council, Ontario Creates Industry Advisory Committee, Amplify BC Advisory Committee and Vancouver Music City Task Force.

She has also led the organization’s research activities since 2010 which have included the publication of The Next Big Bang – A New Direction for Music in Canada, Accelerating Toronto’s Music Industry Growth – Leveraging Best Practices from Austin Texas, Fertile Ground – Alberta Music Cities Initiative and Economic Impact Analysis of the Sound Recording Industry in Canada.

Terrill also serves on several Boards of Directors including Music Canada Live, and the Unison Benevolent Fund.
