PARIS (CelebrityAccess) – R&B performer Chris Brown was released without charge on Tuesday after being detained in Paris in connection with a rape allegation.
According to the Associated Press, Brown, and two other people, including one of Brown’s bodyguards were released on Tuesday evening. The Paris prosecutor’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
Brown was detained on Monday and questioned overnight on potential drug and aggravated rape charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman.
After he was released on Tuesday, he took to Instagram to vehemently deny the accusations.
“I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE,” the post said. “FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!”
The woman who filed the allegations against Brown said that she met him and his entourage at the club Le Crystal in the 8th arrondissement near the Champs-Elysées and that afterward, they returned to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel near the Concorde Plaza in central Paris, the Associated Press reported.
