CHICAGO, IL –(CelebrityAccess) – Jam Productions Ltd. Co-Founder Arny Granat revealed that after more than four decades, he’s exiting from Jam Productions.
According to a press statement, Jerry Mickelson, co-founder of Jam Productions and Granat’s longtime business partner, will continue to oversee the company. Jam remains one of the largest independent concert promoters in the U.S. and continues to produce events in Chicago at venues such as First Avenue, Park West, and the Riviera Theatre, as well as the Twin Cities and around the U.S.
Granat will remain the CEO of Grand Slam Productions, a touring event company he launched in 2012. The company has since produced touring attractions such as the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame traveling exhibit, and Bodies: The Exhibition, which toured worldwide, though not without attracting some criticism for its use of plasticized human corpses.
“Over the past four decades, I have enjoyed a career that has allowed me to work with some of the biggest stars on the most memorable concerts, including the Rolling Stones, Adele, Prince, and Frank Sinatra, as well as awe-inspiring theater productions, and other unforgettable events. I am looking forward to producing and promoting shows throughout the country in association with other partners and collaborators,” Granat said.
As for what’s next for Granat, he is working on a number of projects with Outback Concerts and Jam Theatricals. Granat is also producing a traveling circus featuring the famous wire walker Nik Wallenda; bringing a Christmas Light Show extravaganza from London to Chicago in 2019 before rolling it out nationally; and producing a movie based on the book, My Last Skirt.
Granat is also writing a book, titled I Said This, But I Meant That.
“I am happy where I’ve been, I am happy where I am, and I am excited for everyone to see where I go next,” Granat added.
