LONDON (CelebrityAccess) Neil Warnock, head of global touring for United Talent Agency, has been appointed a member of the Order of the British Empire, receiving an MBE title.
Warnock was one of several honorary award recipients of the Dec. 29 decree.
An MBE is one of five classes of appointment to the Order Of The British Empire. It stands for Member Of The Most Excellent Order Of The British Empire and is one of five classes of appointments for the Order Of The British Empire, according to the UK’s Metro.
Warnock built the The Agency Group from the ground up in 1981 with clients including Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson, selling it to UTA in 2015. Warnock still reps acts like Dolly Parton and Mariah Carey and has been heavily involved with the Nordoff Robbins music charity for more than 40 years.
“Neil has worked tirelessly for Nordoff Robbins as he believes so passionately in the power of our music therapy to help the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people,” Nordoff Robbins CEO Julie Whelan said in a statement. “This recognition is hugely deserved for him and we of course are just so grateful for his energy, determination and commitment to our work which has made a massive difference across the UK.”
“I’m absolutely honoured and humbled to receive this prestigious accolade,” Warnock said. “The work that Nordoff Robbins does is so important and the changes that they have made to vulnerable and isolated people’s lives are immeasurable. I would like to recognise all the therapists and people working at the charity who work so hard to make a difference to those lives every single day.”
Others receiving an MBE include Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and the group Victims of Viagogo Founder Clair Turnham.
Ariana Grande turned down an honorary damehood for her work on the One Love Manchester charity concert, according to The Sun.
