LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) Frank Adonis, 83, who had roles in several Martin Scorsese movies, died in Las Vegas after battling a number of physical ailments Dec. 26.
Adonis played mobster Anthony Stabile in “Goodfellas,” Patsy in “Raging Bull,” and Rocky in “Casino,” and also had roles in films “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” and “Wall Street” as well as TV roles on “The Sopranos” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” He had more than 30 film credits overall.
Adonis had been struggling with kidney problems and was on dialysis, according to his wife. He was put on a ventilator about a week ago and taken off of it after Christmas.
“He will be missed. He was a great father and an amazing husband,” his wife, Denise, told TMZ. “He helped all his friends he could. Great writer, director and actor. He was my best friend.”
