NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) Billy Joel’s Dec. 19 Madison Square Garden performance had two surprises, one involving his daughter Alexa Ray Joel singing and the other involving his daughter Della Rose not singing.
Alexa Ray is a performer in her own right and took the stage at the New York City venue in a last minute surprise to perform the holiday favorite (and secretly sad) song “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” with her father.
It was clearly a stirring moment but Alexa Ray got upstaged by Joel’s second daughter, 3-year-old Della Rose, who ran onstage wearing a Mrs. Claus pajama ensemble and proceeded to overload MSG with cuteness. She may have been too overwhelmed to sing “Don’t Ask Me Why” but it’s not as if she doesn’t know the song.
Billy Joel has performed approximately 155 shows at MSG during his monthly residency.
