(CelebrityAccess) – Rapper Juelz Santana has been sentenced to more than two years in prison for attempting to bring a loaded gun onto a plane at New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport, reports The Associated Press.
He was arrested back in March after security found a loaded .38-caliber handgun and nonprescription oxycodone pills in his carry-on.
The 36-year-old Santana (real name LaRon James) pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft.
He will spend a total of 27 months in prison, however, did manage to negotiate one final performance on Long Island prior to turning himself in, according to AP.
