LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Microsoft Theater announced the appointment of Amir Mertaban as the new General Manager of the venue
Located in downtown Los Angeles, as part of the AEG’s L.A. Live entertainment complex, the theater features one of the largest indoor stages in the U.S. The Microsoft presents concerts, but also serves as a home to prominent awards shows, such as the Primetime Emmy Awards, the American Music Awards, and the pre-telecast portion of the Grammy Awards.

LIVE a top entertainment destination for artists and fans alike.”
A native of Southern California, Mertaban got his start in the industry as an event manager at the LA County Fair. His resume also includes stints with Live Nation, where he ran the Warner Theatre in Washington DC.
More recently, he served as the General Manager of the Fox Performing Arts Center and the Riverside Municipal Auditorium in the Los Angeles suburb of Riverside, where he and his team earned a reputation as the “King of Content” producing more than 45 events annually.
“Becoming the General Manager for Microsoft Theater is an honor and a privilege I am excited to take on,” said Mertaban. “I am ready to dive into this building, which hosts some of the top music and live entertainment events in the world and collaborate with the team that makes it all happen.”
