TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) Good news for Canadian death metal band Witchrot: it’s been a year since its debut EP featuring songs “Devils Dirt” and “Crypt Reaper.” Bad news: the band has broken up with a post that has taken just over 24 hours to become part of internet lore:
The band itself is wrapped in mystery but since Consequence of Sound noted the bad news, itself notified by a random tweet, it has made the pages of NME and USA Today, plus it has more than 2,700 comments.
“The most metal break up ever,” reads one comment. “The most interesting band breakup announcement I’ve ever seen” reads another. The best: “WTF did I just read?”
