LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Nicolas Roeg, 90, director of the David Bowie vehicle “The Man Who Fell to Earth,” died today, Nov. 24.
Roeg was a well-respected director of films like “Performance” and “Walkabout,” and producer of films like “Without You I’m Nothing.”
it was an honor to work with Nic Roeg in #Track29 and then when he produced my performance film #WithoutYouImNothing a brilliant original whose canon is impeccable never another like him https://t.co/4IacSjHFcl

However, his flirtation with pop culture probably arrived with the 1976 film starring Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust persona.
“Just heard another great storyteller, the inimitable Nicolas Roeg left us today,” said Bowie’s son Duncan Jones. “What an incredible body of work he’s left us with!
All my love to his family. Thank you for making so many brave choices, & giving this strange little lad in pajamas an ongoing love of filmmaking.”
