NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) Tekashi69 may have cleaned house, firing his management, booking agency and publicist, but the rapper may have not understood the business behind the agency’s dealings – according to the agency.

Tekashi69 went on “The Breakfast Club” radio program and claimed he received a few hundred thousand dollars out of a $3.5 million tour deal, claiming flat-out theft by MTA Booking. The agency, however, has told various outlets that Tekashi69 doesn’t understand the art of the deal, that the $3.6 million was only a number tossed around in discussions.

MTA and management company Tr3way Entertainment handled the rapper’s security, travel, transportation and worked hard to make sure Tekashi69 got to his court appointments, an MTA rep told TMZ. The agency booked nine shows stateside and two in Mexico and sent the rapper a $700,000 deposit. There were also five shows in Germany booked that provided Tekashi $160,000.

The agency is also considering legal action for the rapper’s comments on “The Breakfast Club,” according to TMZ.

“We have asked [MTA] to show us any contracts with Tekashi69’s signature showing they were acting as an agent to book performances on his behalf and they haven’t provided us with any to date,” Tekashi lawyer Lance Lazzaro said in a statement. “Their cooperation has been very limited.

“I would take anything MTA says with a grain of salt.”

Sources told The Blast that the normal percentages were divided up for all the people involved, and that Tekashi had a hard time understanding numbers.
