HARTFORD, Conn. (CelebrityAccess) The death of Oli Herbert, guitarist for All That Remains who drowned in a pond behind his home in Stafford Springs, Conn., last month, is being treated as suspicious, state police sources told the Hartford Courant.

Herbert’s body was found in Hydeville Pond Oct. 16 after he had been reported missing by his wife, Elizabeth Herbert. The couple has lived in a home that borders the pond since 2014, the Courant reported.

The state medical  examiner’s office ruled that Herbert drowned but called the manner of death “undetermined” when it is usually listed as homicide, suicide or accident. State Chief Medical Examiner Dr. James Gill said Herbert’s case will remain undeterminned until there is new information.

Elizabeth Herbert said on Facebook that a toxicology report from the medical examiner showed that Oli was apparently “self-treating for manic-depression that has run in his family for several generations” and that anti-depressants “were found in his system, as well as a sleep aid.”

A recent memorial for Herbert was called off out of “concern for my personal safety and home due to numerous threats to both,” she wrote.

Band members have said publicly that Oli’s death is mysterious considering he wasn’t known to do drugs or drink excessively. Friends are questioning how he died and some have started a Facebook page called “Justice for Oli Herbert.” Meanwhile, conservative website the Washington Pundit has explored controversial theories about Herbert’s death on its Facebook page.

“I was shocked. He was 44 years old, and he wasn’t really a big partier,” vocalist Phil Labond said in a radio interview with WRIF. “He would go hang out with people and stuff, but he didn’t really do a lot of drinking. … He didn’t do drugs, he didn’t really drink a lot.”
