GLASGOW (CelebrityAccess) — Streaming music service Deezer has teamed up with the AEG-managed SSE Hydro to become the arena’s “official music streaming partner.
The deal will see Deezer’s editorial team create playlists of songs or an album from every artist who performs the SSE Hydro. Fans will also have the chance to discover playlists from global artists that may one day perform at the venue.
Fans will be able to stream the playlists directly from the Hydro’s website. The content will also be available through customer emails and social media. However, unless you’re a Deezer subscriber, you’ll only be able to listen to 30 seconds of a song.
The multi-year deal between Deezer and SSE Hydro Glasgow is already in place with the first playlist available on the landing page of the Hydro’s website. The financial terms of the pact were not disclosed.
The SSE Hydro is the largest purpose-built arena in Scotland and annually attracts more than 1 million visitors.
“Our partnership with SSE Hydro allows visitors to have a free and unlimited music experience, enjoying artist content at any given moment. The playlists will fuel the anticipation around a performance and allow fans to easily find compilations of their favorite musician,” said Deezer’s Phil Moore.
