IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (CelebrityAccess) Ron Heyrend, the organizer of the canceled Idaho Rockfest, has filed for bankruptcy.

The festival was canceled about 36 hours before the Aug. 25 event because an investor pulled funding, according to Heyrend. It was to take place at Melaleuca Field in Idaho Falls and feature acts like Vince Neil, RATT, Dokken, Warrant and Sebastian Bach. Instead, Heyrend is filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection meaning his non-exempt assets like his company, EKR Entertainment Productions, will be liquidated to cover debt, according to the Idaho Post-Register.

Heyrend has $123,302.98 in debts, according to the filing, with many related to the Idaho Rockfest. Among the debtors are Todd Hutchison and Hutch Entertainment, contracted to book the performers. Hutchison alleged in his filing he is owed more than $25,000, according to the Post-Register. The filing alleges Heyrend attempted to go around the contract and pay the bands directly.

Heyrend recently said in an interview with the Post-Register that he intended to refund tickets despite lack of funds but so far the refunds have reportedly been inconsistent.
