LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) Britney Spears’ return to Las Vegas will apparently be nothing like her last residency there, this time sprinkled with references to “urban” and “street.”
Spears wrapped her “Piece of Me” residency in January to perform around the world and has returned just in time for a revamping of the concept. The new show will not only play in a new room at MGM Park, versus The Axis at Planet Hollywood, but will not be a retread of the previous show by a long shot, sources told TMZ.
The new Brit-Brit live appearance will have “an urban, street, hip-hop vibe” reflected in the music, wardrobe, choreography, backup; dancers and set design, sources involved in the show’s production told the website. One source said the stage will have “bleeding edge technology” and apparently two creative directors who developed Jennifer Lopez’s residency have been hired.
That doesn’t mean Spears is having a career makeover – she will still play her hits but the “vibe” will emerge in “mixes between songs.”
Britney is expected to rake in about $500,000 a show.
