(CelebrityAccess) – It looks like popular 90s media player Winamp is poised to make a comeback come 2019, according to TechCrunch.
At one time, prior to the boom of the iTunes Music Store and various other music downloading services, Winamp was the go-to MP3 player for many music fans searching for access to their favourite artists online.
Though the company later experienced a decline after being sold to AOL in 1999, it has remained operational since.
Commenting on the news, Alexandre Saboundjian, CEO of Radionomy (the company that bought Winamp in 2014) said: “There will be a completely new version next year, with the legacy of Winamp but a more complete listening experience.
