SALT LAKE CITY (CelebrityAccess) The operators of Salt Lake City’s The Complex have been charged by federal prosecutors with building and funding the venue with more than $1 million earned in marijuana sales.

Gabriel Seth Elstein, wife Angela Christina Elstein and Seth Dale Gordon, along with the Elsteins’ company, Dumbles Holdings LLC, have been indicted on 13 counts including that they allegedly conspired to transport hundreds of pounds of marijuana across state lines to then distribute nationally, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Prosecutors allege the three ran a trafficking operation from 2007 to 2013, buying more than 2,500 pounds of marijuana and laundering at least $5 million through Bondad Productions, which promoted EDM shows and The Complex, the paper said. A trial has been set for Dec. 14.

Prosecutors allege that Seth Gordon and Gabriel Elstein would take marijuana from California suppliers via hired drivers to Salt Lake City and locations in Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin for packaging and distribution. The marijuana was sometimes packaged at a home in SLC as well as an auto shop and at a garage and an orchid ranch in Chico, Calif., according to the indictment.

In one case, $1 million in cash was vacuum-sealed in the shape of the Empire State Building for delivery to a California supplier, the indictment read. Four different suppliers and six drivers were employed at various times, prosecutors say.
