LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Singer Taylor Swift has been announced as the opening act for this year’s 2018 American Music Awards, according to dick clark productions and broadcaster ABC.

Swift will open the awards gala with a performance of her hit “I Did Something Bad,” marking Swift’s first awards show performance in nearly three years.

Swift is no stranger to the AMAs, with 19 trophies on her shelf from the awards show in previous years and is currently the reigning champion for with the most wins for Artist of the Year, a category for which she is nominated again this year.

Swift joins the ranks of previously announced performers that include Benny Blanco, with Halsey and Khalid, Cardi B featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin, Mariah Carey, Ciara featuring Missy Elliott, Dua Lipa, Panic! At the Disco, Post Malone ft. Ty Dolla $ign, Carrie Underwood and a tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.

Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
