LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Nadine Shah took home top honors at the 8th annual AIM Independent Music Awards when she was won the Independent Album of the Year for her album “Holiday Destination.”
Other winners for the night included Jorja Smith, who picked up an award for UK Breakthrough Of The Year; and record label Ninja Tune, who won the award for Independent Label of the Year.
Drum n’ bass legend and Meatballz Records iimpresarioGoldie, who had been previously announced as the winner, was presented with a Pioneer Award, while the EDM artist Sophie was presented with an Innovator Award.
8th annual AIM Independent Music Awards took place on September 4th at The Brewery, Clerkenwell. The awards was hosted by BBC Radio 1’s MistaJam and TV presenter Sharon Carpenter.
