ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) A property company in Atlanta has filed a lawsuit against R. Kelly, claiming the artist has caused $203,400 worth of damage to two homes he rented near the city’s Johns Creek.

Kelly rented two homes from SB Property Management, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: a 23-room house that covered more than 9,000 square feet and a four-bedroom home. Documents show Kelly signed a lease agreement for the former from July 25, 2017 to July 31, 2018 agreeing to rent it for $3,000 a month and, for the latter, he began renting it January 2015 for $10,000 a month.

Kelly moved out the homes last February but didn’t agree to terminate the leases and surrender Kelly’s possessions of the homes until this February, two weeks after SB Property Management filed a notice to have Kelly evicted.

The next day, SB Property inspected the homes and found “extensive damage” that was “beyond normal wear and tear,” according to the lawsuit. The company claims damage to one of the houses was so extensive that SB could not re-lease it. It says in the lawsuit there was extensive damage to electrical work, that the flooring and carpet would need to be replaced, there were two broke windows and items were missing including a stove, bedroom furniture, pillows, a table, six mirrors, 22 light fixtures and ceiling fans, according to the AJC. There was damage to the theatre, fitness room, cigar room, study, bathrooms, first floor kitchen and living room, the lawsuit claims.

The other house had trash in it and two broken windows, according to the suit.

The AJC noted both homes were “ransacked” in 2017 by former Kelly associated Alfonso L. Walker who broke into them, then stole and sold many of the items. Walker was charged ind December with theft and burglary.
