LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Paul Latham, the longtime President and Chief Operating Officer of Live Nation UK, announced that he’s retiring.
Latham’s retirement was first reported by Music Week, which featured a two-page advertisement from Live Nation in its print edition this week thanking Latham for 34 years of service.
Latham got his start in the entertainment business in 1984 when he was named assistant theater manager at the Apollo Theatre Oxford and remained with Apollo Leisure Group as it became a leading theater operator in the UK and was eventually acquired by SFX in 1999.
In 2002, Latham was appointed as President of Live Nation UK, and then Chief Operating Officer of the company in 2009.
“It has been my pleasure to know and work with my good friend Paul Latham for 28 years. Paul’s many achievements over the years speak for themselves, not only in the commercial world but also the charities he has tirelessly helped. Wishing Paul every happiness on his retirement,” Live Nation UK & Ireland chairman Denis Desmond said in a statement to Music Week.
