LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Downtown Los Angeles’ free country-themed block party, Round Up, will return to L.A. LIVE for its fourth year on Thursday, August 23 from 6-11 p.m.
The free event will be open to the public and will include free mechanical bull rides, live music, line dancing, pop-up shops, cornhole and other country western games, food and drink specials and more.
Following the sponsorship previous years, the 2018 edition of the event will be sponsored by alcohol maker Absolut.
Live country music performances at Round Up’s Get Down Stage will feature line dancing instruction on the outdoor dance floor.
However, AEG has not revealed the musical talent lined up for the event, which takes place in just two weeks. The lineup for 2017 included Southern Caliber, Chris Johnson and The Hollywood Hillbillies, Paul Chesne Band, JT Ross The Harmonica Boss, Line Dancing Lessons by Cindi Massengale & Friends, and Deejay Gregory.
Various pop-up shops will sell country themed, handmade items including leather goods, jewelry and more. Western-themed street art will also be created live on-site by local muralists.
The event will also feature a beer garden, and inexpensive food and beverage options form a host of local participating restaurants, including Katsuya, Rock’N Fish, Red Mango, Rosa Mexicano, Triple 8, Tom’s Urban, Lawry’s Carvery, Live Basil Pizza, Smashburger, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill.
