BREMEN, Germany (CelebrityAccess) — German ticketing and entertainment giant CTS Eventim has acquired all of the outstanding shares of the Scandinavian ticketing provider Venuepoint from its joint partner in the company Nordisk Film.
As a result, Eventim is now the sole owner of the Nordic ticketing provider, which holds leading market positions in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The deal includes ticketing portals billetlugen.dk, eventim.no, and eventim.se, which are all part of the Eventim constellation now.
Venuepoint’s current management team, which is led by Jens B. Arnesen, will remain in place and continue to oversee the company’s business.
Venuepoint was founded in 2004, with Nordisk Film taking an ownership position in the company in 2012. CTS Eventim launched a joint venture in Venuepoint with Nordisk Film in 2016.
Following the acquisition, Venuepoint will transition its ticketing platform to Eventim’s software as the company eyes expansion in Scandinavian markets.
