MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) — A Broward County grand jury has indicted four men where were alleged to be involved in the mid-June murder of a rapper XXXTentacion as he exited a Deerfield Beach business.

The two-count indictment charged Dedrick Williams, 22, Michael Boatwright, 22, Trayvon Newsome, 20, and Robert Allen, 22, with first-degree murder with a firearm and armed robbery with a firearm.

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives stated that they are attempting to ascertain the whereabouts of Allen and Newsome, who currently remain at large.

Investigators say Boatwright and Newsome were the two armed suspects who confronted Jahseh Onfroy, aka XXXTentacion outside of a motorcycle dealer in Deerfield when he was shot and killed in broad daylight on June 18.

Williams was arrested on June 20, and Boatwright was arrested on July 5 on unrelated drug charges. On July 10, detectives served him with an arrest warrant for first-degree murder while at the Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail.

The rapper, who had a checkered history of violence against his ex-girlfriend, came to prominence primarily through posting his own music on the DIY music streaming site SoundCloud. Focusing on themes of alienation and depression, his music appealed to a broad youthful audience.

An open-casket memorial took place in Florida on 27 June. The event was attended by musicians such as Lil Yachty and Erykah Badu.

Following his death, XXXTentacion dominated Spotify streaming charts, with his music making up 7 of the top ten tracks most popular tracks on the streaming service.
