The festival, now in its 18th year, was held at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia. This year’s event saw record-breaking daily attendance, with 55,000 people on the grounds each day.

The lineup for this year’s Exit was led by the hip-hop superstars Migos, DJ/producer David Guetta, and pop icon Grace Jones. American indie rocker Alice Merton, avantgarde Swedish singer Fever Ray, and 8-time Grammy winning reggae legend Ziggy Marley were also on the bill.

The festival also featured a dance arena, which organizers reported was at its 25,000-person capacity each night. The list of performers for the stage included Richie Hawtin, Solomun, Maceo Plex, Adam Beyer b2b Ida Engberg, Amelie Lens, Joseph Capriati, Carl Craig, Tale of Us, Guy Gerber, Ben Klock, Boris Brejcha, Disciples, Kolsch, and Rodhad, among others.

This year’s Exit was closed out once again by Russian DJ/producer Nina Kraviz, whose set went over time by more than an hour.

She later shared: “I just played a closing 3 hours set at one of the most special places on earth. Хвала my people for staying with me in the sun until 9 in the morning. Thank you wonderful exit festival team for trusting me and inviting me to close this outstanding festival that has been uniting so many people from all over the world…I love you.”
