CUPERTINO, CA (CelebrityAccess) — Apple Music has secured the exclusive streaming rights to a documentary featuring British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
The documentary, called “Songwriter” was filmed over a decade by Sheeran’s filmmaker cousin Murray Cummings. “Songwriter” details the creation of Sheeran’s third studio album ‘÷’ and offers viewers insight into his life through never-before-seen home videos, behind-the-scenes tour footage and the creative process.
A preview of “Songwriter” was released on July 18th on YouTube.
“The album is the peak of my songwriting and musical ability,” Sheeran says during the preview “It might be that I never get this again. The last two albums were building up to something. This one, it definitely feels magical.”
The doc debuted earlier this year at film festivals in Berlin and Tribeca and will be released in theaters on August 17th in New York, New York and August 24th in Los Angeles, California.
