LONDON (CelebrityAccess) British police have said they are investigating six claims of sexual assault or assault by Kevin Spacey, three more than in a previous announcement.
Metropolitan Police said today that detectives have received five allegations of sexual assault and one of assault against “a man” but the announcement is widely perceived to be about Spacey, according to the Associated Press, because British police do not name suspects until they are charged.
Five of the alleged offenses took place in London between 1996 and 2008, and the sixth in Gloucester in 2013, according to the AP.
The Oscar-winning actor’s career has gone into a tailspin after he was accused of sexual misconduct against actor Anthony Rapp when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 26. Soon, London’s Old Vic theatre, where Spacey was artistic director, launched an investigation and announced it had received 20 allegations of inappropriate behavior by Spacey.
Spacey’s apology to Rapp was widely panned. Soon he was fired form the political drama “House of Cards” and was replaced in Ridley Scott’s movie “All the Money in the World.”
