NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CelebrityAccess) — The Americana Music Association is set to honor legendary Canadian singer-songwriter k.d. lang with its trailblazer award at this year’s Americana Honors and Awards show in September.
Lang, whose career has spanned nearly 40 years, is a four-time Grammy winner with hits on both the country and pop charts. She’s collaborated with everyone from Roy Orbison and Tony Bennett to Elton John and Anne Murray, and is best known for her song “Constant Craving” off of her 1992 breakthrough album, Ingénue, as well as her impassioned rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”
Lang is also currently scheduled to perform at the Ryman Auditorium on Sept. 16 as part of her Ingénue Redux tour in celebration of the critically acclaimed album’s 25th anniversary.
