LONDON, UK (CelebrityAccess) – Ozzy Osbourne was the big winner at this year’s 16th annual Metal Hammer Golden God Awards last night (June 11).
The ceremony, which took place at Indigo at The O2, London was hosted by Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta and featured performances by Parkway Drive, Carpenter Brut, Baroness, Myrkur and Meshuggah.
Osbourne, who took home the event’s top honor, The Golden God Award, said: “What an immense honor it is to be getting a second Golden God Award after Sabbath picked one up last year. The fans who have supported me and this music mean everything to me, which is why getting this award is so special.”
Other winners included Judas Priest, who were awarded Best British Band, Japanese act Lovebites, who won Best New Band, and Code Orange, who took home this year’s Breakthrough award.
