LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) UTA has announced it now represents Grammy-nominated rapper Vic Mensa in all areas.
The outspoken and talented artist has earned international attention for opening Jay-Z’s sold out 4:44 tour and previously supporting artists such as Justin Bieber, Disclosure, and Beyoncé. In April, he joined global superstar Dua Lipa on her UK and Ireland tour.
Mensa released his debut studio album “The Autobiography” in 2017 under Capitol Records and Roc Nation, which earned a spot on the Billboard 200. His notable work includes the hit single “16 Shots,” “U Mad” featuring Kanye West, and his appearance on Flume’s track, “Lose It.” Alongside Chance the Rapper, he was featured as part of XXL’s freshman class, an exclusive group of artists-to-watch.
Mensa hails from Chicago and rose to fame alongside good friend Chance the Rapper, who he is a member of the “Save Money” rap crew with. His recognition soared when he joined Kanye West and Sia on Saturday Night Live, just before signing to Roc Nation. Mensa was nominated for a Grammy Award for “Best Rap Song” for writing on the Kanye West track, “All Day,” and an mtvU Woodie Award for “Best Video Woodie” for his song, “Down on My Luck.”
