LONDON (CelebrityAccess) Jake Leighton-Pope has exited CAA’s London office to form a yet-to-be named management company.
Leighton-Pope had been with CAA for about a decade with a roster that included Will Young, Little Drago, and Dodie but he once managed acts like Paul Oakenfold and Richard Ashchroft at Marc Marot’s Terra Firma Artist Management.
“I started in management 20 years ago, and it’s time for me to go back,” Leighton-Pope told IQ magazine. “I loved being an agent – I did it for ten years and had a great time – but I’m in my 40s now, and it was time for a change.”
He said it was bittersweet to leave people such as Emma Banks, Mike Greek and Rob Light but told the mag that he will be co-managing London-based EDM act Anna Straker.
The manager is using JLP Management as a placeholder for his company name, he told CelebrityAccess.
