MT VERNON, KY (CelebrityAccess) – Billy Ray Cyrus will be inducted into The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame this year.
Fellow inductees include bluegrass vocalist Dale Ann Bradley, gospel singer Jason Crabb, country performer Bobby Lewis, and singer-songwriter Jackie DeShannon, who sang “What the World Needs Now Is Love.” Prolific banjo player David “Stringbean” Akeman will also be inducted posthumously.
The ceremony will take place Friday night at the Renfro Valley Entertainment Center, however, Cyrus, whose 1995 hit “Achy Breaky Heart” jumpstarted a nation-wide obsession with line dancing, will not be in attendance.
