AARHUS, Denmark (VIP-NEWS) — Just a few weeks after FKP Scorpio sold their share of Danish festival promoter Down The Drain, it has today been announced that US capital fund Orkila has purchased 40 percent of the Danish promotions company.
Down The Drain currently owns music festivals Northside in Aarhus and Tinderbox in Odense as well as promoter Beatbox Entertainment.
“We do not publish amounts, but Orkila has invested a multi-million amount in the company,” says founder Brian Nielsen who owns Down The Drain Holding with Mads Sørensen and Flemming Myllerup.
“I think that what they are doing is very impressive,” adds Jesse M. Du Bey owner of Orkila. “Brian, Flemming, Mads, and Xenia (booker at Beatbox, ed.) are a strong team, one of the strongest I`ve seen in the music events industry.”
