LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Kanye West has reportedly split with manager Scooter Braun in an effort to bring his management in-house.
West has told his people that he wants them to work with him full-time and Braun, who manages acts like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, was unable to make that commitment, according to TMZ. Although sources told TMZ that West has been acting “erratic” recently, the Independent noted that West’s plan is not that unusual, with acts like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Beyoncé already integrating management in-house or launching their own management companies.
The departure comes on the heels of West splitting with manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic in March after nearly a decade working together.
Sources said the recent decision fall in line with West’s move to “leave the traditional music business,” according to Billboard.
The part with Braun is reportedly amicable with the music manager continuing to work with West on projects.
