LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Courtney Braun has been named Head of Legal Affairs for the representation business of WME, IMG Models, The Wall Group, Art & Commerce, and Dixon Talent, among other WME entities. Braun will be responsible for setting all legal policy and procedures for Endeavor’s representation business.
“As our representation business continues to grow, and with issues like the #MeToo movement, new regulations of talent agencies, management of conflicts of interest, and an era of challenges with obtaining proper immigration clearances for our talent, it became clear we need a dedicated and empowered Legal Affairs platform,” a WME representative told CelebrityAccess.
“Courtney will work alongside Tom McGuire who will continue to lead Business Affairs (which pertains to anything deal-making for our clients and business strategy). In her role, Courtney will cover legal matters affecting our company or clients, including navigating legal claims/litigation, risk management/assessment, talent agency compliance, employment disputes, physical or cybersecurity, and managing risks or disputes around immigration.”
Braun has been with the company for eight years, joining WME shortly after the merger between William Morris and Endeavor. She previously worked in business affairs and legal affairs at Sony Pictures.
