INDIO, Calif. (CelebrityAccess) If one was to believe the Beyhive, Beyoncé did more than just play Coachella Saturday night – she redefined it.
By all accounts, Queen Bey’s set was phenomenal and historic (New York Times: Beyonce Is Bigger Than Coachella), but the best reviews for the 26-song set were from her fans, and that apparently includes an onstage shoutout from a really big fan, DJ Khaled: “After tonight, Coachella gotta rename Coachella the Beychella,” Khaled said from stage, according to US magazine. “New name alert: Beychella!”

Beyoncé made history by being the first African American woman to headline the music festival. She kicked things off with a marching band and an “army” of backup singers, singing “Crazy in Love,” followed by “Freedom” and “Formation.”

Jay-Z made a quick appearance but not so Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams who performed “Soldier,” “Say My Name” and “Lose My Breath” with Beyoncé, creating a Destiny’s Child concert within a concert.

“I’m so happy that I am here,” Bey said at the end. “I was supposed to perform at Coachella [last year] but I ended up getting pregnant — thank God! So I had time to dream and dream and dream with two beautiful souls in my belly. … Thank you guys for sharing this with me. I hope y’all enjoyed the show.”
