NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) The Country Music Hall of Fame Museum is celebrating its new exhibition, “Outlaws & Armadillos: Country’s Roaring ’70s,” with a concert at the building.

The concert will be presented by Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings at 8 p.m. May 25 when the exhibit opens, according to VVN Music. The exhibit for country’s Outlaw music scene is expected to be at the museum for three years.

Cobb and Jennings, the musical directors, have assembled a lineup of performers from Tennessee and Texas.  Artists expected to take the stage at the museum’s CMA Theatre include Bobby Bare, Jessi Colter (Jenning’s mom), Joe Ely, Delbert McClinton and Billy Joe Shaver, among others. All of the artists are represented in the exhibit.

Others involved will be relative newcomers Jack Ingram, Jason Isbell, Jamey Johnson, Ashley Monroe, among others.

“We pondered how to put on a concert that would do justice to this spectacular era and to these spectacular artists,” Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Kyle Young said in a statement, according to VVN Music. “The only possible answer was, ‘Call Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings.'”

The exhibit comes with a two-CD companion set to be released May 18, with songs from Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, John Hartford, Guy Clark and Bobby Bare, among others.
