EDMONTON (CelebrityAccess) – Canadian rock musician Matthew Good remains in hospital following a collapse on stage Tuesday evening during a performance at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

Good, 46, who is currently on a cross-Canada tour with Our Lady Peace, was carried off stage and taken to a local hospital. It was later confirmed that the “Hello Time Bomb” singer has been battling pneumonia.

A video posted to social media Tuesday night shows Our Lady Peace singer Raine Maida telling the crowd that Good “wanted to do the show and he tried to do it and you saw what happened.” Maida, who also encouraged concertgoers to give Good “a big hand for even getting up there,” was met with thunderous applause.

Though Good had originally planned to return to the stage tonight, a day after he and co-headliners OLP were orignally scheduled to perform at the CN Centre in Prince George, B.C., a message to fans posted on Instagram Wednesday evening stated that he has been advised by doctors not to perform.

Maida, who visited Good in hospital Wednesday has said: “He made it clear he wanted the tour to go on, and he will make it back out playing as soon as the doctors clear him. Prince George is out for Matt, but we will do our very best to honour his wishes and ROCK the CN Centre!”

Good’s management has stated that the singer “remains hopeful” that he will rejoin the tour in Kelowna, B.C., on Friday and Abbotsford, B.C., on Saturday.
